Online Stopwatch
This online stopwatch counts up from zero with 1/100-second precision, and the Lap button records split and total times for every lap — no ads, no sign-up, no download. It runs entirely in your browser: about 60,500 people a month search for an online stopwatch in the US alone (Semrush, 2026), and most of what they find is buried in banner ads. This page is the opposite — one self-contained file that works offline, full screens with a single click, and keeps your volume setting on this device.

Frequently asked questions
How do I record laps on this stopwatch?
Click Start, then hit Lap each time you want to mark a split. The table below the digits records each lap’s split time (that lap alone) and total time (since start), newest first. Lap times stay on screen until you press Reset, and the counter keeps running while you read them.
How accurate is an online stopwatch?
This stopwatch anchors its reading to your device’s clock at the moment you press Start rather than counting ticks, so it does not drift the way a web page counting seconds would. For timing laps within a second or a tenth of a second it is entirely dependable; official race timing still uses dedicated hardware.
Can I use this stopwatch full screen?
Yes, press F or click the Fullscreen button and the digits take over the whole display, readable from across a track or gym. The lap button keeps working in full screen, and Escape returns you to the normal page.
Does the stopwatch work offline and without an account?
Both. There is nothing to log into, and after your first visit the page installs itself as an offline-capable app, and the stopwatch keeps running with no network at all. Nothing you time is ever sent anywhere; everything stays on your device.
Is this stopwatch really free with no ads?
Yes, that is the point of tickfern. No banners, no pre-rolls, no "premium" nags, no account walls. Free forever is a promise written into the site’s About page, not a marketing line.
